Emily is passionate about social justice and utilising art and education to reduce inequalities. She graduated from Victoria University Wellington with a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology, a Bachelor of Music in Classical Piano Performance and a Post-Grad Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.
Her varied working experience includes teaching music and English in Hiroshima, coordination of the refugee reunification programme at Community Law Wellington and Hutt Valley and Grant Management at Tactical Tech, a Berlin-based international NGO working at the intersection of technology and society.
She is interested in decolonial feminist literature and exploring alternative management structures such as restorative conflict resolution practices and flat hierarchies.
